Beaches
Croyde Bay, Westward Ho! and Saunton Sands are just some of the beautiful Devon beaches to visit during your stay. Alternatively, Bude can be found on the Cornwall/Devon border just 40 minutes away. The Tarka Trail
Petrockstowe lies just minutes from the 48 KM, car free section of the Tarka Trail, which will take you either South to Meeth or North to Braunton through Torrington, Bideford and Barnstaple, on foot or by bike. The trail follows a former railway line and traces the journey of Tarka the Otter in Henry Williamson's classic novel. Pack your panniers with a picnic or stop at one of the many cafes and restaurants found on route. More information can be found here https://www.tarkatrail.org.uk . Paddle Boarding
Lots of calm water can be found throughout North Devon if SUP-ing is your idea of Heaven. Go to https://www.southwestlakes.co.uk for information on different lakes that offer not just Paddle Boarding, but other water sports so the whole family should have something to experience. If you enjoy being out on the sea on your SUP, Watermouth Cover near Ilfracombe is suited to beginners and more experienced SUP-ers and Croyde is great when the conditions are right, but probably better for the more experienced.
Golf

Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre
Had the funniest rainy afternoon here with ages covering 8 to 72 through 19. It's a working museum of fairground attractions with rides dating from 1900 to the 1990's - a ghost ride from the 1930's and dodgems from the 1940's all ready for the family to have a go.
